    valve is a critical safety component in various hydrogen applications. Therefore,
    selecting the right valve is important. What are the different safety testings which will assist in the selection of hydrogen pressure relief valves?

    High Pressure substance hydrogen need careful test for selecting of values. I think Bonfire test and Penetration tests are better and good results for that is quite good and safety to handel

    Most of the Hydrogen used in Fuel Cells, HP or LP needs to follow <b style=”font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit; color: var(–bb-body-text-color);”>ISO 12619.

    Hello!

    Testing required for valves used for hydrogen systems may include some of the below, you may need to cherry pick wich ones are applicable for you depending on the pressure and where it will be installed.

    Valve inspection and testing based on API 598 or API6D

    Fugitive emissions test according to ISO 15848

    Metallic valve testing according to EN 12266-1

    Pressure testing of metallic valves according to ISO 5208

    Inspection and testing of valves for cryogenic service according to BS 6364

    Inspection and testing of valve suitable for gaseous hydrogen fueling stations according to ISO 19880-3

    Many standards are in development like ISO/CD 19880-6 for Fittings, and the ISO 15916 “Safety of Hydrogen Systems” is being revised
