Using MOFs as adsorbents for hydrogen storage at hydrogen storage vessels for mobile applications is a milestone. And, very attractive for their high surface area and hydrogen storage capability. Also the MOFs have light weight in comparison to metal hydrides.

Would the MOFs dominate the technology for mobile applications such like otomobiles, UAV etc.

Not sure about metal organic frameworks for hydrogen storage. I don’t know how much hydrogen can be stored and if it can be released in a controlled fashion (power demand from the system drives quantity of H2 flow, which can be quite dynamic in some applications).

My initial concern is that many metals and most organics will poison the fuel cell stack, so the selected material must be carefully chosen and something must be put in place to ensure nothing damaging can make its way into the fuel cell stack.
