Hii!! I am working on Fuel cell housings for PEMFC and what do you think about the phase change materials and aluminium foam to be integrated into the housing with lesser weight and circular economy ? or what else can I use to integrate the functions in the FC housing with BoP

The fuel cell housing/enclosure can have many functions. It can be a structural member to protect the stack (think crash scenario), and since it is a solid construction, other system (BoP) components can be attached to it. Yes, it can be made of lighter weight materials for applications that require this (e.g aviation), but must still perform all its other functions (e.g. removal of H2 emissions with ventilation air, removal of moisture/water build up inside the enclosure, electrical isolation from the stack (clearance distance), etc.). In many cases, anode components are integrated into the enclosure to simplify the overall stack & system design.
