  • Energy Management and control of fuel cell hybrid vehicles

    I am currently writing a master’s thesis on the control and energy management techniques for FCHEV and I would like to know if fuzzy logic is applicable on industrial level for instance on heavy mobility such as truck and trains.IF no, which robust method should I use?

    Fuzzy logic has been proposed for PEMFC control (https://doi.org/10.1016/j.ifacol.2022.04.115). For energy management, it could be applicable. For heavy-duty commercial vehicle applications, have also seen use of topographical features from GPS (if the controller knows that a long hill is coming, it will ensure the state-of-charge/SOC of the HV battery is high in anticipation of the hill, extra cooling as the truck will be slow going uphill and have little ram air for cooling, etc.). There is ample room for innovation for control systems for energy management as there are unfortunately few heavy-duty fuel cell electric trucks on the road (but they will all have some sort of hybridization that will require energy management).

    We want to set up test lab for fuel cell Testing as per IEC 62282 and AIS 157 standard. where can we get equipment list.
